Sunday Mornings for Children & Young People
As restrictions are lifted, activities at DBC/DMC are slowly and cautiously starting up again. Online activities will continue for some time yet, but we are happy to be able to welcome people in person once again!
All ages meet together for the first part of Sunday morning worship, after which anyone aged 0-16 is welcome to join our children's and young people's groups. Our groups aim to:
- Make everyone welcome and know they are part of the church family
- Teach that God loves us all, no matter who we are
- Have fun!
We welcome and value all children – visitors and regulars alike.
Crèche & Bubbles(0-Reception)
The children learn about God and grow to know Jesus in their favourite ways. Parents stay with under 2's.
Splash (Years 1 & 2)
Activities relate to the everyday experiences and interests of this age group.
Xstream (Year 3-Year 6)
Aims to engage with the children's sense of adventure and their curiosity about life and to encourage them to grow in their faith.
GRID Age 11-16
We aim to give 11-16's the opportunity to continue exploring faith in God and to develop a relationship with Him, recognising that they face many changes and challenges at this time in their lives.
The Sunday Morning Service at DBC begins with All-Age Worship which aims to involve and encourage the whole Church Family. In order to safeguard all children who take part in church activities we have a Child Protection Policy in place. This is based on the "Safe to Grow" document published by the Baptist Union.
